Interview
Very junior recruiting team - seemed to struggle with ability to navigate complex sourcing scenarios and recruit the top 1% of Research or Engineering Talent.
Very Shabby interview process - Does not know who them want and why
- struggling to close candidates who also receive offers from OpenAI or Anthropic.
-Not structure to how they ask interview questions. Poorly designed.
- Weak recruiting team.
- I recommend not joining xAI and their recruiting process is completely derailed.

Interview
I was excited to get an email from xAI about the AI Tutor position. I am currently an AI Data Trainer and have two years of experience. X offers much better pay and benefits than my current job. They sent me a tough exam that took almost two hours to complete. Early the next day, they sent me an email that said unfortunately, I did not get the position. It would be very beneficial of these companies would at least give us a score, so we can learn what we answered incorrectly. It's beyond frustrating.
The interview was conducted by one of their Human Data Team Leads. It was a very pleasant interview. He just asked me about my previous AI Data Training experience and the technicalities about that.
