We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer (PHP, Laravel) with expertise in designing scalable systems, performance optimization, and cloud-based deployments. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, hands-on development expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using PHP (Laravel).
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, designers, and QA engineers to implement new features and enhance existing functionality.
• Define, evolve, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure backend architectures.
• Refactor and optimize codebases for performance and maintainability.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce clean code practices, and manage technical debt.
• Provide technical insights to support product planning and roadmap execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience with PHP and the Laravel framework (experience with Python/Golang is a plus).
• Strong experience with MySQL/MSSQL and Redis.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (Hetzner is a plus).
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes for containerization.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Git and GitHub workflows.
• Strong background in performance optimization (applications, databases, and infrastructure).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on healthcare platforms or complex enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with clustered database environments.
• Experience collaborating in agile, globally distributed teams.
