A penny saved is a penny earned for AFMS customers. The company offers logistics consulting services designed to help shippers, primarily of small packages, reduce the cost of domestic and international air and ground transportation. It assists clients in choosing a carrier for their job (from among such majors as DHL, FedEx, UPS, and others), and then guides them in negotiating a contract. AFMS works with a diverse group of industries -- automotive and transportation; banking and financial; communications; consumer goods; construction; entertainment; health care; manufacturing; and retailing -- that includes GE Capital, Tupperware, Hollister, and Mossimo. Company president Mike Erickson founded AFMS in 1992.
