Description Murder, drugs, and fast boats -- what more could you want in a sea tale? For Cigarette Racing Team less of the first two, and more sales of the latter. Founded by Don Aronow, who was gunned down allegedly at the behest of a rival boatyard owner, Cigarette Racing Team has seen "cigarette" become a generic description for powerful, narrow-bodied speedboats (often linked to drug-running). Notable owners are President George H.W. Bush, singer Enrique Iglesias, and baseball star Ivan Rodriguez. A bona fide Cigarette can cost over $1 million and reach triple-digit speeds of 120 mph. The custom boats, assembled at Cigarette Racing Team's Florida facility, are powered by engines from Brunswick's Mercury Marine Group.
