Intermap is trying to put digital surveying on the map. The company provides mapping and surveying services to governmental and corporate clients using its Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (IFSAR) mapping technology. Intermap's NEXTMap program has maps of entire countries in its database. Its data can be used in driver assistance, flood modeling, insurance assessment, environmental and engineering planning, and other applications that require elevation data. While headquartered in Calgary, Canada, Intermap's executive officers are located in Englewood, Colorado. It also has offices in Asia and Europe. The company laid off 17% of its workforce in 2010 as part of a cost cutting effort.
