Description Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) offers degrees in acting and technical theater arts. The academy also provides workshops, short courses, and summer school. Subsidiary RADA Enterprises offers services of its staff to business, government, and education customers. In addition, it offers the Shakespeare Certificate, which focuses on the development of Shakespeare's language. Actor-manager Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree, who had been a leading Shakespeare producer, founded the academy in 1904. Lord Richard Attenborough, a former student, serves as president of the school. Other former students who serve on the school's council include Sir Anthony Hopkins, Dame Diana Rigg, Kenneth Branagh, and Ralph Fiennes.
