The company is a regional supplier of heating fuel, heating and cooling systems, and services to customers in the New England region. In an effort to green up the business, its fuel oil includes a vegetable oil blend that it calls BioHeat. It installs and services a variety of oil and propane heating systems as well as central air systems and delivers fuel oil and propane directly to customers. Rice sells Bryant and Daikin air conditioners along with System 2000, Monitor Space, and Thermo Pride heaters and furnaces. The company is part of propane and natural gas firm Inergy Holdings.
