A national award-winning NGO, registered in 2002 as a public trust, enjoying income tax exemption and Forex permission, SPRAT is committed to promoting rationality and scientific temper, inter-faith harmony, and justice. In our immediate surroundings, we also work to promote adult literacy and empowerment.
Blending professionalism with compassion, we work with complete transparency, using contemporary HR and ICT. Patronized by distinguished Indians like Mr IK Gujral, LK Advani etc and led by Dr IG Patel, Lord Bhikhu Parekh, Dr YK Alagh etc, SPRAT has learnt to value its Human Resources the most.
Supported by the likes of Microsoft, Google, Autodesk, US and Gujarat Govt, Ford Foundation, RGF etc, and prestigious entities like ONGC, BSNL, Tata Chemicals, Shree Cement, Bakeri Group etc SPRAT is increasingly relying on mass patronage of conscientious individuals.
SPRAT is also building a 13k SY residential campus, TARKIK SADAN (the House of Reason) for integrated, digitally-powered social services, and a PG Academy for Public Administration and Advocacy at Matar, 35KMs from Ahmedabad. SPRAT’s HO is located in central Ahmedabad, with a mini hostel nearby. All these are owned by SPRAT, ensuring its professional independence from political and religious affiliations.
