Cons
Working at 3Shape has been a disappointing experience. Despite the emphasis on university qualifications, it's evident that many in management lack both the academic background and relevant experience necessary for effective leadership. The result is a toxic work environment where basic principles of empathetic and communicative management are sorely lacking. Management creates an isolating environment where they make department decisions in secret without all related stakeholders and this results in robbing you of your autonomy and leaving you to clean up the mess of the consequences of their decisions. The pervasive "boys club" culture within the company is particularly disheartening. The trend of systematically replacing experienced female managers with less qualified male counterparts speaks volumes about the company's stance on gender equality and diversity. Moreover, the unethical behavior of management extends beyond mere incompetence. Instances of manipulation, where passwords are exploited for personal gain, are shockingly common. This abuse of trust undermines the integrity of the workplace and erodes employee morale. The expectation of consistent overtime without any form of remuneration is unjustifiable. Employees are expected to sacrifice their personal time, working late nights and weekends with no compensation, To make matters worse, the company's chronic inability to pay salaries on time reflects a profound lack of organizational integrity. Dependability and financial stability are fundamental expectations in any workplace, yet 3Shape consistently fails to meet these basic standards. Furthermore, the absence of inservice or training opportunities stifles career growth and development. Without avenues for skill enhancement and professional advancement, employees are left stagnant and disillusioned.
