Pros

-New cool and exciting name that corporate can hide under as: innovative and edgy

Cons

-I feel compelled to right as a former employee -- BFG merged with a few different companies because they were hemorrhaging money for over two years and the loss of Campari. So if they try to sell you on the glitz and glam of "We are new!" don't buy in to Enron 2.0. -How do you make sure your embarrassing past doesn't come back to haunt you? REBRAND and change the name completely. The CEO turns a blind eye to every shady aspect of what this company has done in the past as long his pockets are filled. -When I worked for them we had a perpetual monthly rotation of one person being fired because of "performance"/let go because of loss business/leaving on their own because of the high school work culture. -If you still have any appetite to work for this company after watching their cringiest "hype" video a la their site, then you should be working for Monster Energy Drinks instead of this company...bro.

Great people, Awful Leadership

Pros

Rapid personal growth Constant fulfilling work Amazing people to work with

Cons

You will be taken advantage of, you will be beaten down, and you will be told that your best is never good enough. For some, this will cause an internal drive to be the best you can possibly be. And for those people, you will excel. But for the rest, it will cause a lifetime of crippling self-doubt and a near complete destruction of any self-respect you once had for yourself. Once you're completely used up, you will be thrown away. If you quit, nobody will care or acknowledge the years of your life you gave to be the best you could be. Instead, somebody who you don't even know will tell the entire company that you're gone at 4:30PM, and you won't be given the courtesy of even hearing your friends and colleagues say goodbye before your email is unceremoniously shut off promptly at 5PM. It is an abusive relationship that you will enter into, and the damage that it will cause you just isn't worth the utterly unremarkable salary you can probably find at a smaller company that will at least treat you like a human being.

Pros

Some really fun clients (if they even still have them). Some people here are nice and smart. Decent benefits compared to other companies. Summer Fridays, lots of company holidays (week between Christmas and New Year off), match 3% on 401k.

Cons

CEO is completely tone-deaf and acts like he hates his employees. He gets mad when people ask about basic benefits, like PTO and work from home. Threatened to take away summer Fridays if people don't start coming into the office 2-3x a week, but still tries to push "remote-first" narrative. Leadership doesn't support DEI initiatives but uses it for new business. It feels super dirty. CEO wanted to promote the police week during Black History Month??? They laid off most of the committee any ways. Speaking of, sneaky layoffs every month. If they lay off 2-3 people a month, means they don't have to tell anyone or talk about it! Legacy employees from pre-merger are the rudest, egotistical people you'll ever meet. They are extremely rude to everyone, especially newer departments, and are running the place to the ground. Stuck in their ways and doing horrible, boring work because they can get away with anything. Losing all their clients and can't get new ones. Very clear they only value certain departments. You won't matter or see career growth if you're not in the creative or account department. Raises don't happen here.
