Good mission, management is terrible

Pros

Many lower-level employees are great and truly want to make the community a better place. Co-workers can become friends very easily, as everyone hired seems to truly believe in the mission.

Cons

Many upper-level management dedicate ZERO time to truly working with their staff on professional development. It's like room to advance does not exist unless you're at the upper tiers. The directors in many of the departments run it like old-school Arab dictatorships (I'm Arab so that's not racist, it's funny and true). New ideas are shot down, they don't listen to you, and they just want to hold on to their power and prestige at the expense of modernization and advancement.

Cons

Founder of ACCESS left 3 years ago because of the bad direction of the current director and the rubber stamp board. All board members and the director himself live outside the community and know nothing about the community. THe director pays himself a salary of $140K per year when he had done nothing for ACCESS or the community. He has been in charge for 30 years and piled thousands of dollars for himself. Not bad for a Communist Comrade. The hiring policy is a sham. They only hire those who belong to the communist party of Lebanon. The service is a farce. Customers wait for service hours on end and recieve no regard or respect from the abnoxious staff and then they have pay for the service to a supposedly non-profit organization that gets millions in donations. Just check with those poor customers and the previous borad members and founder of ACCESS.
