I believe they confused the role business development assistant as business owner. I came from a different business background and was told there will be a team to help me along. But at 1030 am, the boss shoot me an email and exact words wrote:" the formatting of the documents are terrible, i waste my time reading a pdf file that is 50% blank." and the " i do not see any competitor analysis. It 's a mere compilation of competitor information which is off the website which i could do in 30 min.'' and he end off with asking me to deliver by 12pm. When i was rushing visuals for the GM to take a look at the email. Bear in mind, i was just there for 4 days in a new domain space. I could have deliver a detailed competitor analysis in 1 week with detailed market research PROVIDED i do not have to handle everything from head to toe myself.
