Pros

There are a lot of great people who work at AIM. People who genuinely care and want to make a difference.

Cons

The sad part is that management is absolutely worthless in most departments. You have a greedy, crazy and unstable CEO who at the drop of a hat loses her cool. This woman makes over $200,000 a year...running a not for profit. And somehow she always makes her bonus at the end of the year regardless of the sales numbers. How can your sales people never make bonus yet the CEO consistently makes hers year in and year out? You have a sales director who has absolutely no idea what he is doing who disrespects employees in front of the team, and a marketing team that I'm not sure exactly what they do. In fact there are a whole slew of people here who I'm really not sure what they do, and when I ask I get a totally bogus answer. The top 5 or 6 people are utterly useless in this organization and have no idea how to run a business. Also their top "cash cow" product Careerlink is NOT what it used to be.

Pros

You'll probably move up as long as you act like a puppet on a string for the CEO. Whatever you do, don't give any ideas. Your ideas will never be used unless the ideas make money....oh, did I mention AIM is a non profit organization? They have more money than GOD! How does that work?

Cons

Everything was a challenge. Especially the CEO and the other crazy lady in the admin office who thinks whe knows everything! What a joke!

Pros

Monthly company meetings are very positive and make you feel like you're doing something good and it's full of laughs and cheering. I always walked away feeling good. The monthly parties were good fun, too. I was lucky in that I got along with almost everyone within the different teams. Friendly atmosphere.

Cons

Then the meeting ended . . . What the CEO said at the meeting seemed to change the minute the clock struck twelve. The running joke was "what side of the bed did Kandice wake up on today?" That's how quickly things changed. I worked in two different departments. In sales it was SELL FOR COMMISSIONS, but when commission time came, they seemed to find a reason why you didn't qualify. There was very little reward. In operations, it wasn't much different. Everything depended on how the boss was feeling that day.
