Pros
The commissions are high. Well outlined plan to close sales. Strategy for starting your own business.
Cons
The day starts with a professional dress meeting at 4:45 AM Monday through Saturday. After the meeting, if the restroom is already taken, you have to change into your work clothes in the parking lot. Then you load up the cars for an average hour long drive. Then you get to spend at least a ten hour shift at a gas station selling car wax and windshield repair to people getting their gas. Be prepared to spend all day talking to rude, annoyed, and irritable people with no promise of making any money. It is possible to make money, if you are willing to use aggressive sales tactics. AMW will actually teach you how to deceive and peer pressure customers into buying your products. The only was to make any real money is to be an unethical pushy salesman. When going on road trips, they promised that everyone would get paid hotel rooms to stay in. Don't believe them!!!! You will be staying in a single apartment with ten other individuals, all sleeping on the floor together. If you don't mind working outside a gas station six days a week then this is the job for you. I would equate it to working for less than minimum wage and working 90 hours a week. They will take anyone educated or not. They will literally pick people up off the street. One of the worst companies I have ever worked for...
Pros
Working at AMW was a life changing experience. My position prior was not assisting me in growing and developing. For what I was getting paid it wasn't worth the lack of development. My reason for joining AMW was because of how much opportunity for growth there is. I learned life skills like how to be comfortable with face to face communication and networking at the corporate meetings with the CEO and the Presidents of the company was an incredible experience. Hearing how they started off and grew from the bottom up really showed me how much I could accomplish.Being able to be in charge of what I make it why working here is so appealing. If you are a go-getter then the ability to make more is highly appealing, however, if you tend to be on the lazier side it may not be for you.
Cons
A con would be that I wanted there to be more promotions. They take their time in training you to ensure your success and that you are meeting their clients standards.
