Pros

The staff (teachers, secretaries, marketing, etc.) are very nice and a great team to work with.

Cons

This used to be a great school and I enjoyed working here for almost nine years. It has now changed owners (November '24) and the new owner does not care about their staff nor the students. His first introduction to the staff was an email saying he was going to cut everyone's wages. When that backfired, he introduced himself in person, saying "we're a family". My family treats me with respect. He's trying to get rid of everyone he deems "overpaid" and is introducing new wages, which was the minimum wage we had back in 2016, not accounting for inflation and cost of living. Currently, he is making people redundant while having an ad up for new teachers. He doesn't care if things are illegal as long as he makes money. The atmosphere used to be great, now there's just tension. The teachers were great, hard-working and committed. People stayed for years or came back. Students enjoyed the classes and would often renew multiple times and recommend our school to others. He has now changed class times so he doesn't have to pay for the lunch breaks. This affects students' schedules and they're not happy. He has also changed the way attendance is counted, in the hope he can expel students as soon as possible, keep their money and get new students in. Overall, it's such a waste of what used to be a great school and I do not recommend working here if you want to be paid fairly, or be treated as a human being.

Pros

Lovely co workers, most of whom are gone because of contract changes. Same goes for lovely students who are choosing not to renew.

Cons

New CEO. In one fell swoop has destroyed decent employee contracts. From 19-21 an hour with paid breaks, paid prep time, paid holidays, 3 sick days with no cert. Now any benefits have been stripped to the minimum. CEO forced teachers to either accept unilateral changes to contracts or be let go.

Pros

Used to be a fantastic place to work with supportive management, good benefits and room for growth.

Cons

New owner wants to slash salaries and remove benefits, making the environment very stressful and unpleasant. The goal is not good service and education but profit for the company (and not its employees).
