Dysfunctional Company!

Pros

The pay is respectable if you can tolerate all nonsense created by upper management

Cons

This is a very dysfunctional company that is lead by very poor upper management. You have a president of the company that does not live by his own core values that he preaches to his staff. The only way that you can advanced in the company as if you whine and complain to management. The president recognizes and promotes poor/bad behavior. I've never worked for a company before that announces that there was a layoff and that they are hiring new employees in the same day! The upper management group does not show any respect to the workers that create revenue for them and only tries to make life harder to get work completed. The company operates off of 4 different systems that does not integrate with each other and causes people to enter information in 4 different locations creating 4 times the work. There is no accountability at this company!

Pros

Remote work for some, products you are proud to promote,leadership frequently asks for employee feedback.

Cons

Despite "Communications" being in the company title, there is none. Continual/reoccurring issues across all departments, office politics, leadership is incredibly disconnected, minimal onboarding training, useless CRM,leadership does not listen to employee feedback. Strain on mental health.

Pros

I do have to say, I enjoyed the freedom that AWC gave the Field technician’s to make their own travel arrangements at first! That is no longer the case and I’m glad I don’t work for them anymore.

Cons

This company cannot get the materials’ orders, cable and hardware and cabinet orders to the Technicians on site EVER. There is always some crucial materials missing/forgotten/ or not even in the original or final quote. So the Technician on-site has to problem solve and resolve the issue and with no appreciation or assistance. I was terminated (extremely unexpectedly) for “falsifying hours on my time log”. That being said, the week in question was a complete cluster-bomb-anation for both Field technician’s on site in Portland, OR and 1 of the 2 different platforms that we had to log our hours worked into was completely down without access. So frustrating to have just gotten financially stabilized again and then to be told Friday for lunch I was terminated for falsifying hours and they had a Lift waiting in parking lot to take me to airport! Really trashy and unprofessional behavior. Company is too small for how big they’re trying to act like they are.
