Promises service to customers they can't produce

Pros

Can show up in shorts and flip flops. Owner is nice but disconnected from reality of operations. Nice location. Ample parking.

Cons

This place is a joke. Can't understand how they make any money. The management sells services they don't already offer. Then rely on staff to "make it happen". All people with the professional experience for the consulting and compliance have been replaced with interns. Customers not told that some returns not even filed. Resources outdated and useless. Very low pay. Serious tax professionals need not apply.

Company puts out a solid product. Employees care about clients and really live up to the motto "the office next door" A lot has been said on this site condemning the CEO - He is a good man who wants to right by his clients and his employees

Cons

The CEO is a good man BUT he is in over his head. He loves to talk about his experience at a major company but that was only for a few years in a low level position. He should have sold the business years ago. He has lost his enthusiasm for the busines and sadly all of the employees at Advantax know this except for him.

Pros

Nice people. casual work environment, supportive work-life balance. I appreciate the emphasis on giving back and opportunities to do service work within our community. Free lunchtime yoga, pet friendly office, employees really care about customer service.

Cons

Young staffers hired right off campus have no business experience with other companies, therefore - no basis for comparison.
