Pros

The office is in a good location with some cool amenities. Benefits for US employees are pretty good.

Cons

It's the most toxic environment I could ever imagine. The leadership is horrible, and behind the scenes, they are the antithesis of the values they claim to hold. They love to do what they call "high potential" hiring, which means they bring in employees who may not have all the experience or skills needed for the role but have "high potential." To be clear, they are doing this to pay you way under market value for the work and the position they hire you into while working you into burnout in record time. They do not care about your development, advancement, career, etc. Expect to be on call for leadership on nights, weekends, holidays, vacations, etc. There is also no lack of blatant favoritism and mild sexism. Hiring and promoting predominately white men when your executive team is almost exclusively white men is what they really excel in. Giving bonuses and promotions to male counterparts when they have not done anywhere near the same amount of work or have the same professional experience and expertise as their female peers happens regularly. My tips on topics to touch on during your interview here are: - Ask about diversity and inclusion, ask in every one of your interviews (it doesn't exist) - Ask how they treat and handle their performance review and merit increase process, along with any bonus potential - Ask what the expectations are regarding hours, work time, travel, days in the office, etc. - Ask what resources or programs they have for employee development, clearly ask which one of those resources or programs would you have access to

Pros

They pay you on time

Cons

Advantive was created by a private equity firm by combining 6 investments from around the world. In doing so they laid off about 40% of the staff and most management. The way they communicate with the staff is by deliberately omitting information and lying by omission. Their staff will be mostly sales and some internal support staff. Most people are quitting because there is no stability. They have admitted they will sell the company again and the layoffs may happen again if the new owners decide so. This post is deliberately posted as a result of the 5 star review above mine. There is nothing to trust from this company. Nj has plenty of other jobs. Don't waste your talent here.

Pros

None anymore. Prior to the PE acquisition, the 6 original independent companies were extremely well run, employees were happy, owners were profitable. Then the sharks entered the pool, slashed headcount by 40% across each of the independent companies, leaving each entity EXTREMELY short-staffed and demoralized. The executive leadership team thinks on-demand talent is the answer. Unfortunately they don't understand the businesses, their customers, or the software packages they acquired. ODT cannot replace years and years of industry specific knowledge, which they are learning the hard way, at the expense of their customers and the few original employees who tried to stick it out and make it work.

Cons

Understaffed, overworked. Management has a playbook, and can not deviate from the playbook. Their only concern as a 'company' is to double and double again. This is primarily done through additional acquisitions and raising maintenance prices on their customers (some received 2 increases in less than a year). If you ever wonder why employees hate PE backed firms, it's because of the extreme corporate greed. This is a textbook 'pump and dump'.
