      Work from home during pandemic Quarterly bonus

      Cons

      Little to no leadership from the teams and management. Promotion based on politics not skills Bonus structure is often paid out late Below average pay Constant surveys about culture, but no action from them. Optics are everything working here. Little to no benefits to working at firm

      Pros

      - A spirit of growth. "It's how we always did things" is seldom the answer and the department is always open to trying new things - Everyone tries to hold up their end of the bargain, the work ethic is great among the group - A "no victimization" policy. People are encouraged to take ownership and push for changes rather than "playing the victim"

      Cons

      - A lot of typical start-up "cultulre building" activities...which could fall in the "pros" column for some people, but for me a lot of the negatives come from the fact that while there are "quirks" of working at AdvicePeriod they still maintain a lot of old fashioned ideas - Fairly spartan WFH/time off policy...I get that anything above zero is a benefit to be had, but the attitude that the other positives of working here negates the lack of flexibility or the outdated mindset that your butt needs to be in the office to get work done is what makes it a negative more so than the number of hours laid out in the policy itself. - You wear a lot of hats and you'll have to actively seek out feedback on your responsibilities. This can be exhausting and unproductive at times.
