I recently interviewed for an HR Generalist position at Ahern, and while I was initially excited about the opportunity, my experience with the recruiting process left much to be desired.
The interview itself went well, and I felt I was a good fit for the role. However, the most frustrating part of the process was the complete lack of communication from the recruiter afterward. After the interviews, I was left in limbo with no follow-up or updates. It felt unprofessional and disrespectful, especially since I took time out of my day to participate in the interviews and was genuinely interested in the role.
As a candidate, it's crucial to know whether you’re being considered for the role or not, so you can make informed decisions about your job search. I understand that not every candidate can be selected, but it's basic courtesy to inform people of the decision rather than ghosting them entirely.
This lack of communication is the sole reason for my low rating. I truly hope Ahern takes this feedback into consideration, as it reflects poorly on the company’s overall professionalism. Candidates invest time and effort into the interview process, and the least any company can do is let us know where we stand.
