      Pros

      Great technology, a real need for it out in the security market. Some incredibly talented and hard working individuals.

      Cons

      Completely unrealistic sales goals and territory expectations. My quota was set at more than the entire company had sold the previous 7 years with no legitimate pipeline in place.

      Pros

      Alcatraz follows a hybrid work schedule. Management is flexible and empathetic. The company operates with a lean resource model. The founder, Vince, is highly supportive of employees and is likely the company’s strongest salesperson. Our machine learning and full-stack teams are based in Sofia, Bulgaria. This company is well-positioned for success in the enterprise security space.

      Cons

      Top management could have been more engaged with the company's largest customers. The CEO does not appear to be actively involved in day-to-day operations and seems to lack the interest or energy for such involvement. Some key VPs lack basic operational and people management skills; however, the overall management layer is solid and helps compensate for these gaps. The company founder remains highly engaged, and most employees are driven by success.
