Pros

My experience was so terrible on the CS team, no pros come to mind. Oh, I have one: leaving AlertMedia to work in a truly remote tech company with a 15% comp increase and 50% fewer customers in my book of business was the best thing I ever did!

Cons

Challenges of working at AlertMedia on the Customer Success team include: - Undeveloped "leadership" (promoting high-performing individual contributors can be great, but if they don't have the skills to be a people manager it is BAD. That's what happened here: my boss was a fun mix of controlling/micro-managing personality and no leadership development training) - No job security (good people to work with get fired unexpectedly and without explanation to the team... You never know who could be next) - Pay is under market value with no room to negotiate during hiring process - Unrealistic workload. 120 accounts and all of their renewals and risks are on your plate and churn is your fault. This is especially hard because internal turnover is so high that it's an uphill battle to have to constantly research newly assigned accounts and take the blame when you were set up to fail. - Even if you're hired as remote or hybrid, if you don't come into the shiny $$$ downtown office every day you will be treated as "less than"

Thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed that you did not have a positive experience as many other employees do. Our employees are genuinely happy and have fun with one another – that’s real and we are really proud we can create an environment where people enjoy coming to work. We were remote, as much of the world was, during the height of Covid-19 pandemic. We are excited to now be in a hybrid environment to allow our teams options to work from home and come to the office to collaborate cross-functionally, train together and have fun with their fellow colleagues. Over the past 2 years we have doubled the size of our Company, dramatically increased our customer base and in turn, our Customer Success area has grown tremendously. We do provide each of our customers an exceptional experience and have worked hard this year to ensure this is happening by creating new teams and roles within Customer Operations, such as our Community CS team and Implementation. This has also helped us ensure work is balanced across our employees. We have established Customer Success career paths to help our employees understand how they continue to grow and are proud to say that several of our employees have been promoted into and throughout our CS organization. These many improvements have enabled us to continue to retain and invest in our talented employees. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Person saying they make you remove negative reviews is RIGHT

Pros

Health insurance - that’s about it. Salary isn’t spectacular, very average

Cons

Management doesn’t care and doesn’t listen. They offer minimal guidance for a complex sales process after completing training (only 5-6 week certification process - which is pretty much self guided) Product is pretty worthless. Just a glorified text alert system. Culture preaches inclusivity but it’s actions are EXCLUSIVE. This company is anything but stable & fair. Please don’t be fooled by the cover. They care more about letting employees post in public slack channels who they share intimate relations with than actually improving anything. Literally anything. That’s just the start of it. Not to mention, as another review has mentioned, they make you remove negative reviews to keep their reputation looking good on the surface. Nothing but bad things to say about AM.

Pros

Cool product, work/life balance, casual dress code and relaxed workspace. Could be a successful product if new management took it over.

Cons

Don't work for this company. They lead you in with the promise of growth and where they are headed. Once you join you notice most employees come to work hungover or stoned, management spends most of the time outside of the office and is unresponsive to employee needs and questions.

We wish you had a better experience. However, accusations and defamation of other employees is not professional and we would suggest a different approach to providing constructive feedback.
