Pros

Free parking, your own computer, and free coffee.

Cons

You have to clean the office including the bathrooms on a rotating schedule, washing dishes weekly is required of all employees. It is a clicky work environment that is hostile if you are not a yes person. Friends of the owners are allowed to outsource their work to other employees. You will get one hour of training and not be provided with any procedures or work rules. They make the rules as they go. Most of the personnel are interns and their is no team work environment. The owners will complain about each other in the open office setting that has no privacy, and full of distractions. The biggest con is that their is no leadership and the only goal is to increase sales. The sales team has a very low close rate that will hurt your ability to make your commission if you are supporting them. You are expected to eat lunch at your desk or you will be complained about.

Pros

Most of the folks at AES are really great and care about their work. The employees create great teams.

Cons

CEO is known to fly off the handle bars and scream at or belittle employees. I know a number of employees who have been on the receiving end of his temper from directors to brand new staff members who just landed their first job. I’ve heard of on the spot firing and demotions when he gets upset. Seeing it first hand is scary. Sales compensation plans are vastly overstated. Assume 1/2 of what their goal compensation is stated in initial onboarding discussions. It takes multiple years to build up a solid customer base.
