Great Place to Grow

Pros

This is a great place to start a career or come if you have an appetite to drive impact at a more senior level. At the lower levels you'll get to learn about effective business communication, growth marketing, and planning, whereas coming in at the manager level gives you opportunities to build teams, manage PnL, and learn how to have high-impact conversations both with reports and external players. -You'll learn a lot, very quickly. -Managers are supportive. -Your network and exit opportunities will be strong after only ~18 months of good work. -You might even have some fun along the way! The culture is set up for building comradery and making friends, especially if you're based in New York.

Cons

-the work can be demanding. it's the field more than anything but when the job is so numerically KPI focused, if your partnership is missing numbers, it can be stressful (even if a lot of it is self-imposed). -work can get repetitive after a time. there are constantly opportunities to step up but it's possible to be in a position for a few months longer than feels novel based on business need, which is a drag. -some periods are intensely busy, either due to a sale or big seasonal marketing event. hard to avoid but worth being aware of.

Pros

-Best growth marketing boot camp you can find. Prepares you to take on growth challenges at any consumer company. Companies specifically look to hire growth marketing talent out of Ampush -Amazing learning and development focus. Structured development conversations, training, and even coaching opportunities (though those are more senior levels). I would never have been taught (vs. having to learn on the job) how to manage people if it wasn't for Ampush. -Highly candid and low politics environment. First workplace I had that showed me that was possible!

Cons

-Though I believe Ampush is above average in terms of the autonomy clients give Ampush teams, it still is a client service world. That was a con for me after a few years and my role increasingly focused on client management. -This isn't really a con, just a watchout for anybody looking to join - make sure you are ok with ambiguity or are looking to learn that skill. Growth marketing and therefore Ampush culture is about constantly solving new problems vs. doing the same task over and over. Some people thrive in that environment but some hate it. This will be a great fit if you're the former.

Pros

-Extremely smart, talented, fun group of people to work with -Become an expert at performance marketing, which leads to great exit opportunities at top DTC companies (e.g. DoorDash) and platforms (e.g. Facebook) -Lots of autonomy/impact early on in your career (especially for entry-level analysts) -Opportunity to develop soft skills (people management, customer success, etc.) through promotions

Cons

Ampush is definitely not for everyone. If you require a lot of structure or prefer traditional brand advertising to performance marketing, it's probably not a great fit. Workload can be fairly intensive as well, although certainly not at the level of i-banking
