Cons

Anglepoint talks big, but the reality is disappointing and draining: Dead-End Growth: Promised salaries look good at first, but raises are stuck at 3%. Promotions take 3+ years, and regardless of title, you're doing the same repetitive work. Unrealistic Expectations: Delivering 20–30 projects a year is the norm. If you're aiming for growth, expect more workload — not recognition. Discrimination in Career Progression: Since 2024, Indian employees have been silently blocked from leadership roles and international moves. It's no longer a hidden trend. Zero Transparency: A mysterious “one-time” expense (likely 10% of revenue) was brushed under the rug. Around 10% of employees were laid off without warning — no explanation, no empathy. Pure Cost-Cutting Mode: No referral bonuses, no training approvals, no offsite events. Even annual salary revisions were delayed without back pay. Leadership Lives in a Bubble: While the rest of the company tightens belts, execs enjoyed a luxury trip in Jan 2025. Strategy was barely discussed — but suites and +1s were definitely covered. Innovation is Just a Buzzword: Tools like Elevate haven’t improved in years. Startups are leaving them behind. This is not a company built for people to grow — it’s a company running on optics and overworked talent. If you're looking for long-term value, look elsewhere.

At Angelpoint, we are committed to transparency, fairness, and the recognition of our employees’ contributions globally. While we respect all perspectives, we do not agree with the characterization of our company or culture presented in this review. We regularly promote and recognize talent across all regions, with approximately 20% of our employees advancing each year. Our structured career development programs, quarterly recognition awards, ongoing training, and transparent communication channels are designed to support and reward high performance. Our leadership team is accessible and visible, and we are proud of the inclusive and collaborative environment we have built. We understand that no company is perfect, and we are committed to continuous improvement. For those considering Angelpoint, we encourage you to connect with current team members to learn more about our culture and values. Thank you for your feedback, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors! Best, Divya

Pros

Exposure to multiple clients and fast-paced environments Opportunities to learn if you are self-driven A few supportive peers and managers (not the norm

Cons

1. Stagnant Career Growth: No promotions unless you complete 3+ years in the same role; regardless of performance, client feedback, or internal contributions. 2. Minimal Compensation Growth: Year-on-year salary hikes have drastically reduced to 3-5%, compared to 12-15% in earlier years. Most benefits are enjoyed by the management, while employees are left with minimal increments. 3. Manipulated Performance Narratives: The CEO often claims the company is exceeding performance targets until Q2. However, as soon as appraisals approach in Q3, the narrative suddenly shifts to “underperformance,” resulting in withheld promotions and hikes. 4. Unrealistic Workload: Especially in teams like IBM, employees are expected to manage 15+ clients per quarter. Regular working hours exceed 10+ hours daily with no overtime pay or comp-offs. Shockingly, this is stated openly in the company handbook. 5. No Work-Life Balance: Flexibility is a buzzword used to justify unreasonable working hours, especially for employees outside North America. Internal calls are often scheduled late at night, and requests to reschedule are dismissed with, “We offer flexible timing, you must be available.” 6. Lack of Recognition: Unless you directly work under a VP, your efforts often go unnoticed. Recognition programs are practically non-existent. 7. Siloed Work Culture: Cross-team collaboration simply doesn’t exist. Teams operate in complete isolation. 8. Disconnected Leadership: Senior management lacks empathy, culture, and core values. Employee well-being is not a priority. 9. Broken Promises: From hiring commitments to internal mobility to rewards-very few promises are kept. 10. Double Standards in Cost Cutting: Company-wide meetings have been cancelled multiple times to "cut costs," while leadership continues to enjoy luxury vacations (company-paid, often with +1s). The difference between cost-saving and exploitative practices is clearly misunderstood. 11. Questionable Client Practices – CVA Program: Leadership is aggressively pushing clients to adopt the IBM CVA program, without full transparency. Key changes are downplayed, and clients are not clearly informed that their data will be shared with IBM. The focus seems to be more on revenue generation than on client interests or data privacy.

Pros

Experienced people are hired so less hiccups with delivery and QA.

Cons

At first glance, this company may seem attractive due to its presence on Gartner, but don’t be fooled—there’s much more beneath the surface that you need to know before considering a position here. Lack of Merit-Based Hiring and Career Growth One of the most concerning aspects of this company is the complete absence of merit-based hiring and internal promotions. While they may market themselves as an attractive option, especially for those with less experience, the reality is quite different. Despite what is promised during interviews, the company has a habit of backfilling positions and hiring based on a backwards approach—filling roles at a level lower than what’s actually needed. Over the past three years, I've witnessed this first-hand, and it severely limits career advancement and the ability to take on meaningful responsibilities. Slow Career Progression and Minimal Recognition If you’re hoping to get promoted, be prepared for a long wait. The promotion cycle is typically three years, regardless of the experience or level of responsibility you bring to the table. Even if you consistently deliver high-quality work, the company seems intent on keeping you in place as long as possible to minimize costs. In fact, they’ll often throw a “lollipop” your way—small rewards that are intended to keep you satisfied while postponing any real career advancement. Stagnant Compensation and No Bonuses While the initial pay might seem attractive, the yearly salary increments are barely enough to keep up with inflation, let alone reflect your true value in the market. PS - If you’re hoping for bonuses at the Analyst or Senior Analyst level, think again. These are simply not offered, and you’re left with a stagnant salary that barely matches the effort you put in. APAC Team Seen as a Resource, Not Valued The higher management treats the APAC team as nothing more than a resource to do the heavy lifting. Despite working hard and taking on significant responsibilities, ideas and contributions are rarely acknowledged or appreciated. It’s clear that the focus is purely on getting the work done at the lowest cost possible, with little regard for employee morale or career development. Job Titles and Responsibilities – Misleading Expectations The company's job titles and responsibilities seem structured, but in practice, they often don't align with what’s expected or what you’ll actually experience. For example: Senior Analyst (6-24 months): Expected to perform a variety of analyst functions with minimal supervision, but don't expect to get the support or recognition you deserve. Consultant (2-4 years): You'll be expected to create client-facing deliverables and lead meetings with little oversight Senior Consultant (3-6 years): You're expected to lead segments of larger projects The promotions in US happen quick (within 1 to 2years) as compared to other parts. US has got all the benefits - unlimited leaves, quick promotions
