Pros

* Decent discount on top of clearance items (but not sale items) 20% * Pay was higher than expected for this area * Most staff minus store manager was great to work with.

Cons

- I had VERY high hopes for Anna's when I stated in October 2014. I went through a lot of interviews with them and worked really hard to research the job. I worked in one of the biggest stores (about 20,000 sq ft) and it was a mess everyday! Our store manager is racist and doesn't like white people. I was actually getting harassed daily by her and the DM and HR did nothing after complaining for months. I finally left since they didn't care. They are closing stores left and right. They had a bank come help them from going into bankruptcy so I would be afraid of losing my job anyways. Our pinpads for customers cards went out for over a month and were still not fixed when I left because they didn't pay the old pin pad company, so they cut us off. Most of the items are 100% trash. I can't tell you as a manager how many returns we had because an item was defective. It was so horrible to get yelled out for that and you really agreed with the customer. They have a serious signage issue where about 80 % of the store doesn't have prices, so customers get mad and don't buy anything, because they can't tell how much stuff is... Most of the towels are trash... most are defective and we're trained to fold them a certain way to "hide" the defects. They give you NO payroll to get anything done. You have one sales associate and one manager for the whole 20,000 sq ft store and normally shipment coming the back. In Jan 2015 they eliminated 401k matching company wide and almost double insurance premiums which is another side that they are going under.
