Pros

The pay is good and the normal employees are nice people.

Cons

They pay for fake reviews on google map. The treat you like a work horse. You can't even make your own tea, they expect you to work at all time. shame culture. Time watchers. some people on top have anger issue and get angry if you disagree with them. You have a to wear a suit to work everyday. Not allowed piercing, hair dye, beard or smoking.

Arena Group Response

Hi, We’re really saddened to see your review, we appreciate your experience at Arena wasn’t what either party had hoped. I’d like to focus on a few inaccuracies in your review though. Firstly, we do not pay for fake reviews, 96.91% of our customers would recommend Arena Group and 80% of staff think this this is a great place to work (Employee Survey 2019) so with happy employees and customers, there is truly no need to pay for fake reviews and it is insulting our integrity to write false statements. Next I refer to your ‘work horse’ and ‘shame culture’ comments, 83% of our staff responded positively to the way they are managed, developed, cared about and recognised for good work. All our staff across our offices benefit from free facilities including free Yorkshire tea and coffee, there are no rules around when or how much you can drink so fill your boots! Personally, I have never experienced anything but positivity in the years I have worked here, but if there was a certain situation in which you were made to feel like someone was expressing their anger at you, please get in touch with HR as this is not behaviour we would condone. Finally, we do have a professional dresscode in which we expect our staff to come to work dressed smart (beards are welcome here!). This is our business preference and we tell all our candidates in person and in our offer letters so they are aware before they join us. Jean’s just isn’t our way, unless its on dress down Fridays! Best Wishes Stephanie, HR

Pros

Team of people to work with generally, outside of management.

Cons

This review is specific to an IT software team at Arena. The management style is heavily focused on micromanagement, with time tracking down to the minute, which can lead to analysis paralysis rather than efficiency. The overall approach feels more focused on identifying negatives rather than fostering a supportive, positive environment. At times, interactions could feel passive-aggressive rather than constructive. There is little openness to new ideas, Despite being a Xerox-acquired company, the work environment doesn’t seem to reflect Xerox’s broader ethos. Many in the team seem to feel there is no real path for career progression. Improvement meetings often feel more like a box-ticking exercise rather than a genuine effort to implement meaningful change.
