Pros

The only pro that I can think of is the fact that we don't get taxes taken out. However it's a negative because what employees don't realize is that Sam Yador prefers to files as a 1099 so he won't have to pay for W-2's. At the end of the year we are stuck with a ridiculous amount to pay back in taxes. But other than that not really any pros.

Cons

Where do I start, when I first was brought in to Armortech/Green Guard I was promised exceptional growth, yearly raises, federal contracts, and advancement opportunities within the company. Well Sam Yador(CEO of a very small company) did not stick to his promise. Instead he lowered the employees wages from $14/hr to $12/hr because supposedly people were taking advantage of the pay. Come on now Sam I was in a leadership position before and know that you just wanted to pocket that money for yourself. Second he offered to give employees 50 cent raises for every new contract we got, within the first 4 months I was there we got 3 more contacts and not a single raise. As I had mentioned before he actually lowered the hourly rate instead of raise it. Third he had a very two face personality where he would smile in your face and act like he cared, but instead would gossip or talk about his employees behind their backs; again I should know because j was in a position to oversee everything. Fourth he promised everyone tactical vests and badges, while i have been here I have not seen more than 3 vests get issued out and have seen no more than 2 badges get issued out. Sams excuse, "they have to earn it", come on now Sam you were the one who put it in the employee handbook who by the way you stole from Transit Security(UPS) thanks to a certain Sergeant who got promoted. Yeah UPS you might want to look in to that and possibly sue. Fifth he only promoted and KEPT supervisors who were either good friends of his or relatives of friends of his. He also expected employees to write policies and post orders for him, come on now Sam isn't that something you should have done when you first started the company? Not necessarily expect your employees to do the work for you while still taking care of a family and working 50+ hours a week. Last but not least(even though there are plenty of more things I can say about this man and his company) Mr. Sam Yador promised everyone federal contracts that would be paying $30 or more an hour. At first I was ecstatic at the opportunity to advance my career but to my shock I found out from 4 previous employees that Sam had been promising that since he first started his business. I mean I should have know that he wouldn't get a federal contract because if he can't even manage a small security company that focuses primarily on guarding marijuana shops then how can the guards ever secure and provide security on a federal level. I want to believe that when Sam first started his company that he was a good man and had good intentions at heart, but after seeing the two face man I have come to meet I don't believe he ever was that man.
