Pros
Ashdown has a true family feel, and I always felt supported and trusted during my time there. The company provides all you need to succeed, and creates an environment where you’re not afraid to make mistakes, and are able to become better at your role because of this. There is no ‘hire and fire’ culture and the tenure of staff is a true reflection of what a lovely environment the management has managed to create. There’s no expectation for cold calling, you’re given a wide array of clients and given full autonomy on how to develop the accounts; you get out what you put in, and it can be a lucrative set up. Targets are achievable, and your hard work is rewarded. Management are approachable, and open to ideas on improvement, as they are always striving to make the business the best it can be for all parties. There’s a humanity too, with management being understanding of what life can throw at an employee, and the support you receive in those situations is a credit to them.
Cons
The only thing would be that the current structure doesn’t lend itself to quick career progression, but I know that’s being looked at.
