Lovely place to work

Pros

Ashdown has a true family feel, and I always felt supported and trusted during my time there. The company provides all you need to succeed, and creates an environment where you’re not afraid to make mistakes, and are able to become better at your role because of this. There is no ‘hire and fire’ culture and the tenure of staff is a true reflection of what a lovely environment the management has managed to create. There’s no expectation for cold calling, you’re given a wide array of clients and given full autonomy on how to develop the accounts; you get out what you put in, and it can be a lucrative set up. Targets are achievable, and your hard work is rewarded. Management are approachable, and open to ideas on improvement, as they are always striving to make the business the best it can be for all parties. There’s a humanity too, with management being understanding of what life can throw at an employee, and the support you receive in those situations is a credit to them.

Cons

The only thing would be that the current structure doesn’t lend itself to quick career progression, but I know that’s being looked at.

Pros

Ashdown Group offer a flexible, hybrid model of working to maintain a great work-life balance and employee culture. The team is supportive to each other's successes and do not hold a competitive reputation. Senior Management value employee contribution and are the first to show appreciation to their dedicated team. It's a friendly and progressive place to work and that's why I enjoy what I do!

Cons

Remote working can mean seeing your colleagues less - but the planned socials make up for it!

Pros

Very supportive new management structure and friendly and collaborative culture. Senior management really looks after the team - COVID was extremely challenging but management ensured everyone that had consistently worked hard were kept on when most of our competitors made everyone redundant (we only lost 4 of the 25 employees due to redundancy and in all honesty it was their time to go). Lots of great project work to be involved in over the last few months - as well as additional training. Rewarded really well - lots of incentives, paid for team socials and rewards. We have all been fully paid on bonuses and commission even throughout the pandemic and we get paid on everything we make. Much more of a team feeling now the business is filled with positive high performers and a leaner, well respected management team. Everyone is recognised positively for their contribution regularly and since the pandemic the business seems to have a new, fresh energy. The last 15 months have been challenging but actually the changes it has created internally means we have a much friendlier, much more positive and much more together team. New fully flexible working from home model is amazing - has made the team alot happier and more productive.

Cons

Need to be resilient - even when candidates drop out at the last minute!! Whilst it is an SME and fairly flat structure in terms of career progression - the opportunity to enhance your skills and increase revenue is pretty infinite.

Pros

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Ashdown. The environment is friendly, supportive and collaborative and they are constantly looking for ways in which to improve. The culture isn’t focused on cold calling or call stats, they focus on exclusive work and an emphasis on excellent client delivery and retention, which is a refreshing and welcome approach. Management are approachable and open to constructive feedback and encourage employees to get involved in varied, project-based work. The targets are achievable and there is no monthly threshold, earning potential is high and consistent.

Cons

Nothing in particular comes to mind.

Pros

The company offer a supportive and friendly environment and listen to staff and their ideas. Having worked in more of a standard 'sales' recruitment role previously this place is a breathe of fresh air - there is genuine empathy for clients and a culture of wanting to build relationships and support people rather than just making a quick fee. There is trust put into people and flexible working.

Cons

none that spring to mind
