Pros
The company structure is pretty flat. I think I was only one level removed from the CEO. The company pays all healthcare premiums.
Cons
Due to the nature of the contract I was on, I was working in a different location from my direct supervisor. I only had contact with him a couple of times a year, and mostly over the phone. While it meant he was he was very hands-off, in my mind, he could not fairly judge my performance. There is only one option for healthcare benefits: a family PPO plan from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. While they pay all the premiums, I have to think this ultimately eats into your potential salary. If you're single, this is not exactly ideal for you. Their 401(k) was only offered to employees that had been with the company, and you were not fully vested until 7 years! I think they were changing this policy just as I was leaving. Overall, the culture of the company is just, well, weird. Because most employees work at a contract site, there almost is no culture. It's hard to explain, but on the rare occasion that I visited the office, everybody there was a little off.
