The Best Place to Work in Cincinatti

Pros

The company is very engaged with their employees development, and a lot of focus has been placed on culture and diversity. I think a lot of companies use those words as buzz words, but the fact of the matter is this company, despite some challenges, has absolutely floored me with kindness. Recently a new CEO was appointed internally, and I couldn't imagine a better fit for the organization. Mark Veratti is a super star, and really gets it. It looks like glassdoor is still showing the old CEO, which is why I didnt give a rating. Flexible working hours Great Pay Great Benefits Great People Great Culture Challenging Work and Engaging Work I couldn't be happier with an employer.

Cons

There are none that I can think of at the moment.

One of the best place I've ever worked!

Pros

I love this company. It's one of the best places that I have ever worked. I've seen so much growth and innovative changes but the mission, culture and our values remain the same. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a VERY fast paced, environment that requires a lot of collaboration and provides the opportunity to be a part of building a company on the cusp of changing the world. The perks are cool with free beverages, discount on my Verizon bill and free access to the community center. The company is not for everyone, only those looking to personally challenge themselves because it requires a lot of dedication but it will be worth it in the long run.

Cons

Working with limited space due to all of the growth but we're building a new 90,000 sq ft. building in 2017 so hopefully that will help.

Pros

Free Soft Drinks Mason Community Center is nice next door.

Cons

Assurex Health was acquired by Myriad Genetics and lost its soul completely. What was an exciting family like Biotech startup is now just a terrible corporate company. Office Environment - If you enjoy rubbing elbows and not being able to concentrate this will be the place for you. You will be cramped in like sardines in a noisy open office environment at the main location or the secondary location in the basement of city hall. (see Glassdoor pics) Culture- The Company promotes a lot of values that they don’t follow. It can be really clique oriented in many departments. Communication is really poor for being a small company. Leadership Team - CEO is too busy promoting herself for awards and her next gig (see Glassdoor pictures) than worrying about the culture of the company. CEO and leadership team took millions on the sale of the company and left all the employee stock options worth nothing. Many of the employees took lower than market salaries because of the stock options they were promised. I am not sure how this meets the Assurex Health value of “Win as a Team.” The Future - The leadership promised and told the city of Mason we would be building a state-of-the-art new building in 2016 for the company that never happened. They downsized a good number of employees at the acquisition in Nov 2016. I would predict the company will likely be relocated to the parent company headquarters in Utah in 2018 after they start to understand the business and can downsize it further and the bonus and executive acquisition stay incentives are paid out at end of 2017. Bottom Line - There are so many better places to work in the Cincinnati area avoid this place.

Pros

Started as a great place to work. Management trusted and empowered MSCs. Great product and sales has done a great job of growing Genesight year over year. It isn't the MSCs job to increase reimbursement, although we definitely try to help.

Cons

Myriad took over in August of 2016. For almost a full year, things moved along very well. There were some changes and change is to be expected. But the last month has been a complete 180 degree turn and I talk to MSCs every day that are petrified of the changes coming. Challenger? Countless emails with hours and hours of pre-work for a meeting? Bonus plans were the designers don't seem to understand that #1 and #2 of importance in incentivizing reps is to pay them in a TIMELY and ACCURATE fashion. We are 1/2 way through the quarter without even having updated dashboards. Now, we are only paid every quarter AND the payouts are almost a full 2 months behind the quarter end? Really? So whoever comes up with this plan really has no idea that paying a rep a bonus almost a full quarter behind the actual sales measurement is a terrible motivator?

Pros

Cutting edge technology and start up culture (which is good since you're always learning something but not great when you have more responsibilities than time). Opportunities to grow into new roles.

Cons

Not the most attentive with international employees. Culture changed over the years but sometimes games of favourites played and pinning employees against each other.

Pros

Excellent product, great company culture, decent management. Recent RCT results were mixed but positive overall. Future of the company looks good as long as they can innovate and don’t let competition catch up.

Cons

STOP PUNISHING YOUR SALES TEAM FOR PROFITS! Billing is killing sales, new comp plan makes it difficult to make decent money unless you kill your quota. No new product in the works, competition is catching up and Genesight will soon lose its status as “the gold standard” if improvements/new products aren’t introduced.

Pros

The mission is still worthwhile. It's a great product that works.

Cons

When the company was purchased by Myriad, everything changed. The company lost its soul and its culture. Where there was once strong leadership, now it is weak and embarrassing to watch.
