Pros

Fun office with youthful colleagues, career opportunities to learn a decent tech stack, nice company outings and great parties.

Cons

They care more about business than their employees. Here's two examples: I was offered a promotion, and accepted. The manager that offered the promotion at quit shortly after, and while it was common knowledge (because i changed departments in the then quite small company) I followed up with the promotion, and they said "i don't remember that". Of course, I do now know that it was my fault for not having it in writing, but the company was very small and was more of a community than a corporation. I didn't end up getting the promised promotion for more than a year later, even though the two people in question were friends outside of work, and fully able to talk about it. Another, final example: when I asked my boss about the ability to go on a leave of absence, it was approved verbally. We talked about it regularly, almost in every monthly 1:1 for almost a year. 3 days before I was set to go, with plane tickets and accommodation booked, my boss forced me to quit saying that it was only a formality while promising to me several times he'd hire me when I come back. 2 months into my 3 month trip he sent me an email saying they've replaced me, and didn't follow up to any more of my messages. More than the job under both circumstances above I felt betrayed because I felt that we were friends before colleagues, but I was clearly manipulated. I'm grateful for having learned the "get it in writing" lesson, though. I guess that should be in the pros.

Pros

- Travelling to onsite client offices, good exposure to working in different environment - Lots to learn with their in-house data quality tools - Small organisation, company events, social gathering, paid events, lunches and dinners - Good for new graduates to gain some consultant experience

Cons

- Small company, very high goals - Unstructured management - Lack of HR department - Lack of directions and mentoring for new hires, lack of trust between employees - Easy to get consumed and become a target of internal office gossiping. Strongly avoid. Too many strict office behaviours to follow to abide with the office "culture". Working from home is highly looked down and is recommended against unless you're 1 year old in the company. Entry. exits to and from the office are closely monitored by a few staff in the office. Expect to be either micro-managed or not managed at all. Variation of behaviours and moods can be expected off people. Typical cut-through, result-driven, consultant environment. - Small office, therefore, more expectations w.r.t contributing towards the small office space and team building activities. Everything little act is noted. - North American sales are run by a handful of employees only - New and junior consultants aren't given a chance only after 6-8 months in the job. - Lack of structured training programs, contrary to what is portrayed in the interview - Expect below average pay-scale and conditional bonuses/raises - Company sheds employees, whether new or old, very quickly. Management can take actions in streamlining of resources when they feel it is appropriate to; with or without cause.

Newbie Managers from College who should not be in such a company

Pros

Good salary Interesting products Beautiful office Central location

Cons

The managers or Team Leads in the company who are all Czechs and their racism cancels all the pros. They are all Czechs, Russians, Ukrainians, and ex USSR countries. If you are not white and not supported by upper management, the young managers from college who do not understand what diversity and equality mean will pretend to be nice and then, later on, send you a lame rejection e-mail. Don't waste your time, this company should not be labeled international and should be labeled as just another local Czech company with an international company name on top of it. They are newbies and have no experience.
