Pros

The work itself can be enjoyable if it wasn't for everything else. Hour lunch breaks are a plus. Every now and then someone brings a dog to work.

Cons

I wish I had taken the reviews on this job seriously before I started to work here. I assumed that people were perhaps making a bigger deal over small problems. I am writing this in hopes that you can be saved from what so many of us have gone through. If you get an interview with them, ask what their turnover ratio is... for your position and for the company as a whole. That will tell you more than I can ever explain in this review. Their main problem is they are a family owned company with no HR team. Their "HR team" is also the finance/accounting team. The family has little trust in their employees and often acts paranoid with their workers. When interviewed they will emphasize how they are honest and upfront. That sounded perfect to me in a boss and company I would work for. The truth is, if they are mad at you... they will complain to many other people about it before contacting you. I and my coworkers would be called up to their office or put on a conference call with other workers to be berated for long periods of time. Them not having mid-level managers is a huge down side. The top executives are too busy to thoroughly explain what they want from their workers and will often skip key elements that they will later yell at you for not knowing. My coworkers and I were frequently yelled at more than once a week for not knowing what she considered to be "common sense" and told how we made them look bad and how our coworkers thought low of us because of our stupid questions and mistakes. (We had only been there for a month or so and with no mid-level manager our training was all over the place.) When we had questions we were often too scared to ask because our questions were considered stupid or a waste of time. However, if you don't ask and you mess up you'll get berated. This drove me the most crazy, even if you do everything as asked, they will find something that they did not tell you to do that they thought they told you and get angry at you for not doing so. In the small amount of time I was there... I saw 6 people quit. (They only have about 20 or so people in the building.) Furthermore, the environment says a lot about the job. No one speaks to each other. I mean... no one. People walk around with their heads hanging low as though they are afraid. Even if you say good morning ... you will rarely get a response. It's really sad honestly. Everyone is so bullied there. In conclusion, even if you do your best they will find something they forgot to tell you and bang you over the head with it. You'll never know where your boss is, you'll rarely be contacted for anything outside of being yelled at, you'll be yelled at more than once a week if you're a good worker and almost every day if you aren't catching up as they want you to, and depressing work environment. Company is set up to make money, not to keep employees. They don't trust anyone except for those in the family.

Pros

The location is the only positive thing

Upon being hired at AntOnline, I was promised multiple things after 90 days such as PTO and insurance benefits only to have to ask multiple times when this was starting even after I had been there for 4 months. Then I was told I only get 2 PTO days, whereas my coworker (who started the same day as me) received all 10. Upon asking why they received theirs and I didn’t, the response was that they approached the manager. As an employer it’s their job to notify the employee when their benefits are starting. Extremely unprofessional. And yet, still no word on the insurance. If you’re over the age of 26, you will most likely have a manager that’s younger than you. The pay is terrible for all the work and hours you put in. I’m absolutely disgusted with this company and I strongly encourage you to stay away. They will try and make it seem like it’s a great company to work for but they are not.

The most disorganized, unprofessional workplace imaginable - There is no HR whatsoever. Not a single HR rep, so there is zero accountability when it comes to upper management. - Managers love to berate and demean staff, and use scare tactics to get what they want. - Most staff are grossly underpaid for the work they're doing, which is why they prey on new college grads .Meanwhile the CEO flaunts his million dollar sports car collection in the employee lot every day. - Supposedly a salary job, but must clock in/out at precise times even for lunch (actual salaried positions don't do use time clocks) and have zero flexibility to WFH (during a pandemic). They love having control over you at all times and will question any imperfection in your timecard. Reminds me of elementary school - Completely botched how to handle a pandemic. Multiple waves of covid broke out through the office and management couldn't care less. - Office politics are a staple here. People going over each others heads to try and get a leg up, creating drama out of nowhere, and gossiping about anyone and anything (even managers). - If there is a culture here, its being overworked, with absolutely no boundaries . Managers/ co-workers aren't afraid to call 24/7 (nights, weekends, holidays) with something work-related. Zero respect or regard for employees time outside of work, or mental health for that matter. - The whole business is sketchy to begin with. They are merely ebay/amazon re-sellers, but will tell you they're some sort of cutting edge retail company. - They also pump in fake reviews on Glassdoor. Take the negative reviews seriously, This is how the employees really feel
