Pros

1. Great colleagues and camaraderie 2. Good benefit 3. Flexible hours

Cons

1. First-time C suites (from academia) with no humility to listen: They hire experienced team but don't listen to them. Experience to them are considered as 'personal biases'. Your opinion will only be heard indirectly when it's validated by external industry experts. Most of the employees who have more industry experience than the management have already left the company. 2. Poor human resource management: The reviews that you see before 2020 are probably from the good old times. In the past 12 months, there were more than 10 turnover (in a 60-ppl company) and a large portion of them was either senior leadership or founding employees. 2 women (with industry experience of course) in the leadership team were ousted just because they disagree with the company strategy. They don't care about the impact of attrition and are doing nothing to retain talent and improve morale. You either agree with the management or you are out. So, the other review that said the company cares about employee was delusional. Giving you swags =/= care about employees. 3. Minimal to none career development: Promotions happen occasionally in the R&D team, but rarely in the business team, which kind of speaks to the reasons behind the poor culture and morale there. Looking at the strategy of the company, the company clearly doesn't care about the career development of some employees.

Pros

Flexible work hours, remote work, decent pay, colleagues.

Cons

Active cognitive dissonance all the way to the top. You wouldn't know that the company has employees other than the founders. Experience dismissed as unimportant. No career path unless you are a yesman. They will exit anyone that doesn't drink the koolaid. Many have left this year.

Systemic issues that got amplified with time

Pros

Decent benefits and pay, but that's pretty much it

Cons

When looking back, it was a slow moving train wreck all along. A lot of issues, including poor management, lack of vision, incoherent cross team efforts, and higher management's ignorance and over confidence was always there. One would hope that things would improve as company grows and more robust practices are adopted. However, just opposite have happened. The original issues deepened and taken root, while others such as talent exodus, extream burocracy, and poor buisness practices have raised. Many of the folks who carried the company on their back have left or been ousted. Instead, unprofessional and unknowlagable people were hired in the recent time who add very little value and are outright harmful to the effort. The buisness strategy have changed multiple times in last few years, with each iteration lowering already small chance to succeed even further. Many decisions are made based on self perception of greatness, while completely ignoring systemic issues both on R&D and buisness side.
