I have been working at AutoZone part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company is reliable and an industry leader. There is room to advance if you have connections and an aggressive attitude. Open minded employees learn useful auto tricks.

    Cons

Stores vary greatly, the company needs to train store managers to follow policies and how to run the business fairly for all employees. Hours vary for employees from 4 hours a week to 25 the next. Training is needed to develop better employees to sell. For those who have the skills the pay is not worth it.

    Advice to Management

Create benifits to CSRs because they are the ones who represent the company and bring in most of the companies revenue. Create better training workshops to all employees. Make middle management work for the betterment of the culture of the company isntead of being a polarizing figure everyone is nervous around.

I worked at AutoZone full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fun place to work at. Learned alot about car parts and prices. Had great interaction with customers. Multitasking and communication skills are very important and this position allowed me to enhance these skills.

    Cons

Store manager was very strict. Did not have much flexibility in terms of schedule. Carrying and stocking batteries was not fun at all.

    Advice to Management

I would recommend giving better employee discounts and more schedule flexibility. Also, putting more people to work in one shift would allow employees to focus one task at a time and therefore provide better service.

I have been working at AutoZone part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Indoors wih AC - Flexible schedule - Associate Discount 20% sometimes 30%

    Cons

    - Pay is lower than market average - retail hours (open late 9-11 pm depending on location ) - hours are never set they vary depending on sales and quota meet by the store

    Advice to Management

Give the hard working employees a raise and stop hiring additional staff that is unnecessary when you already have a full staff.
