Promising Start, but Difficult Work Environment Toward the End
Pros
about customers and wanted to do strong work. The company had potential, and there were aspects of the role that could be rewarding in a more stable environment. Earlier on, there was more optimism around the direction of the company and opportunities to contribute meaningfully.
Cons
My experience became more challenging over time. Toward the end of my time there, I found myself less aligned with certain company decisions and the overall direction of the business. There was also a noticeable gap between how the company spoke about mental health and employee wellbeing and what I experienced day-to-day. Workloads felt consistently high, and it could be difficult to fully disconnect or take time off when needed. Changes in management impacted the team’s experience. Following leadership shifts, there was less clarity around priorities and processes, which made it harder to feel supported and set up for success. There were situations involving inappropriate and at times offensive comments within the team, which negatively impacted the work environment. It was not always clear that these issues were consistently addressed. In my experience, HR did not always feel like an effective avenue for addressing concerns, which contributed to a sense that employee feedback was not consistently acted upon. Overall, while there were strong individuals on the team, the work environment became increasingly difficult to navigate, and I no longer felt it was the right fit for me.
