      Pros

      Job for life. If you don't want to do anything its the perfect place.

      Cons

      Waiting for ever for the old guard to retire Atmosphere of it's better to do nothing and ruffle no feathers than to try and succeed and ruffle a feather or two.

      Very decent benefits with pension (I think it is the rare-to-find DB pension)

      Cons

      You need to have a strong nerve when scolding others or arguing with others. If you pose no "threat" to others (here threat means you show better technical knowledge/skills or better anything than some long-time employees), you are more likely to invite criticism from people, and managers will show no sympathy to you.

      Great Benefits, Great people to work with outside of the Training and Recruitment Department

      Cons

      Training and Recruitment Department is an old boys club. Not enough women or minorities in upper managment.
