      Pros

      The kids are wonderful and you form lasting bonds with them. SOME of the staff is great.

      Cons

      Overworked, underpaid, and shady as hell. They do everything possible not to let you find out what other people make because it's completely arbitrary, rather than based on experience. They misappropriate funds and lie flat out to parents and staff alike. It's the best special ed school in the state, but that just goes to show how low the standards are. There's a high likelihood of you getting physically injured and also of getting burned out mentally. Do yourself a favor and don't work here.

      This was one of the most frustrating places to work due to the lack of support from the Board of Directors.

      Pros

      The people working there are wonderful to work with and the overall culture is great. The work you are doing is beneficial to the community. They do their best to be flexible with time off and other personal accommodation's that staff need.

      Cons

      The pay is lower than average for the industry and this area. Lack of opportunity to advance within the organization. The management staff is great to work with, but the board of directors can be difficult. The staff that were required to attend board meetings used to have anxiety and fear on the days of board meetings because of how mean the board members could be during the meeting. The board was not professional.
