      Pros

      Good 401k plan, everyday was a different experience. Company paid phones and travel, automatic vacation time upon hire.

      Cons

      The company is family oriented, usually a good thing, not in this case. Upper management and ownership is comprised of a few families; brothers, sisters, cousins, parents, in-laws etc. Everyone gets a job regardless of qualifications. If an employee has a disagreement with management, word spreads quickly and family members will paint a bullseye on that person. Openly against organized labor. Pay is based solely on what you negotiate.

      A pleasant surprise in a tough industry!

      Pros

      The leadership team really does try to look out for everyone. Communication moves quickly, there is room for advancement if you're willing to work hard and put yourself out there. My chain of command is excellent, the leaders and line folks get it, they respond quickly, ideas are valued (in an industry that doesn't budge much). Probably the best place (and team) I have worked for in a very long time!

      Cons

      The work can be tough (we are a tire business, physical work is what we do) but it can be rewarding. Corporate office is not in a bustling metropolis, so you have to be sure you like a small town feel to things.

      Great place to work

      Pros

      My coworkers and boss are incredible and always encourage and value my feedback. I have seen quite a few employees get promotions since I started working at Bauer Built, which tells me they value current employees and their advancement. You can tell this is a family owned company by the way managers treat their employees. You will not be a number if you come to work here. The work is tough and takes a special type of person with an extremely strong work ethic and the desire to do exceed customer expectations every day. There is a lot of opportunity for a dedicated person at Bauer Built and I would recommend anyone to look into joining our team.

      Cons

      The locations are geographically dispersed so I don't get to see everyone in other stores as often as I would like.
