Cons
-Management brings personal issues into the workplace. -Management disrespectfully interrupts and speaks over associates to prevent them from talking. -Management constantly unavailable due to continuous travel and time off, sometimes spanning for months at a time. -Management unresponsive to email communication, at times returning urgent messages over a month after the initial email was sent, if ever. -Unrealistic expectations by management without having any SLAs or business processes in place. -Several complaints made by management about having to be at the office. -Management expenses for entertainment took priority over mandated vendor certification exam fees incurred by associates. Business related expenses remained in pending status for months. -Promises of a decent and flexible work life culture in interview stages took a complete 180 the first week on the job. -Lack of respectful business vernacular. Negative attitudes and unprofessional behavior tolerated and encouraged in emails and around the office. -Complete absence of HR. -No protective employee regulatory processes in place. -Office space filthy and unkempt during onsite customer visits. -No mail system in place. Stacks of papers and unopened letters strewn about the office. -No career path or advancement. -Extremely limited employee engagement and interaction. -Retaliation among co-workers tolerated, and at times even encouraged. -Significant problems around CRM usage and adoption. Underutilized tools continue to be funded. -No enforcement of company policies. -Privileges afforded to select employees, but not all because this is a family business. -Problems around favoritism, even if the contributor is an under performer. -No recognition or acknowledgement of top performers. -Promises of upgrading business application infrastructure that never came to fruition.
