Pros

Remote work was provided for longer period.

Cons

There is no hierarchy in the organization. The project managers are not clear about the behavior of the product they want. And that will be left on developer to decide whatever best suits you. Coding practices are focused too much rather than overall logic , behavior and architecture design. There is no one to tell you about the existing code and what design patterns that has been followed. From the day one you will be alone in the arena to fight with bugs and feature.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. There are certain cons that you have mentioned that we do believe are in fact true. However, it is upto individual if they see it as a pro or con. Let me share my point of view on those: --- There is no hierarchy in the organisation. This is correct. We all worked towards ensuring that everything we do optimize to create an experience for end user of the product. As far as I can tell, everyone enjoys the flat hierarchy in the company. We want to be this way until we cannot. --- The project managers are not clear about the behavior of the product they want. And that will be left on developer to decide whatever best suits you. Yes, there is a bit of flexibility in built so our engineers are working as product engineers. Our engineers don't just code, they build products. Building is easy. What to build is often hard and needs to be a team decision. --- Coding practices are focused too much rather than overall logic , behavior and architecture design. That is correct. We are quite passionate about all things engineering. --- There is no one to tell you about the existing code and what design patterns that has been followed. This is 50% correct. We expect you to understand the codebase and figure it out. However, we are available to help to understand the `why` behind certain design choices the engineering team makes. --- From the day one you will be alone in the arena to fight with bugs and feature. We are getting better at it. We have setup a week aside to help you onboard now using our skeleton codebase so you can write sample application and get feedback from engineering team. But after that, yes, we do expect you to take ownership and work meaningful features. For people reviewing this comment to understand better about our culture, it is a good reminder to review our handbook. It is supposed to be a living document which we follow on daily basis: https://github.com/jalantechnologies/handbook It definitely felt like, with you, it was a clear mismatch of expectations and we hope to be more clear about our expectations as we onboard new team members in future. Thank you again for taking time to submit the feedback. Jai

Pros

The management team, including the CEO, truly values their employees and goes above and beyond to make sure we are all happy and motivated to do our best work. One of the best things about this company is that they offer work-from-home opportunities, which has been a game changer for me. The flexibility to work from anywhere has allowed me to better balance my work and personal life, and has also helped me save time and money on commuting. The company also offers a very competitive salary and benefits package. They truly understand the importance of compensating their employees fairly for the hard work they put in, which is refreshing to see. Another thing I appreciate about this company is the culture. Everyone is friendly, supportive, and collaborative. There's a real sense of teamwork and camaraderie here that makes working together a pleasure. Overall, I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a great place to work, with fantastic work-from-home options, supportive management, competitive salary, and a positive culture.

Cons

I have been working for this company for some time now and I have to say, it's been an incredible experience. One of the best things about working here is that I have yet to find any cons!
