Pros

- free lunch on fridays -decent health benefits - many coworkers are super nice

Cons

- the company is quite disorganized and has little to no formalized processes, internal documentation, or anything like that. It’s pretty much a free for all. Management frequently says that it’s like the Wild West (which doesn’t garner much confidence) -the sales team does not set proper expectations with customers, nor do they provide internal notes. In fact, I’ve seen numerous customers cancel because they were promised certain things by sales and those things weren’t even possible in the platform - management either doesn’t listen or they don’t care. Numerous employees have voiced concerns or grievances or even suggestions and nothing gets done - lastly, the company forced everyone back into the office in July out of the blue. People explained their concerns with this idea but leadership pretty much disregarded everything and forced everyone back in

Pros

There is opportunity if you can make it for yourself. Pace is fast; you will work very hard, and there’s no time to sit around, but you will grow in your career and as a person/professional if you keep up with the pace and stick around in a high turnover company where average tenure is below average.

Cons

- 2-3 days in-office does not make sense. We’re not dealing with on-prem products like in the old days. We’re a cloud-based company trying to push on-premise culture. Excessive days in office (1+) are an energy and time waste, weakening productivity and morale, especially now that remote tools make us more effective than ever - PE acquisition has caused the culture to become overbearing. Everyone (sales, support, CS, product/engineering) is incredibly stressed, and you can feel it in the air. Excellent products and brands are made sustainably and with great care, not with gasoline-capital poured over the fire. Get-rich-quick PE growth is enticing for shareholders, but bad for everyone else - Too many chiefs, not enough workers. Managers who push numbers into excel as their primary function often have little experience or knowledge of the product. Those who do the actual work are often undercompensated and under the weight of the excel trackers. This makes intimidation an effective strategy for managers, causing wounds in the culture which fester and create a toxic environment. Compensate your workers, and reward leaders, not bosses

Thank you for sharing your feedback on your experience working at BigTime. If you are a current employee, hopefully you see that the investment we made a few weeks back at our Annual Kickoff was to show how committed we are to the employee experience and driving collabration between departments, building and improving relationships and creating empathy for your peers (via the Walk a Mile activity). We are in fact a high growth company and have been prior to the Vista investment you refer to. The growth trajectory is a great opportunity for individuals who want to learn and grow their career. There will be unique problems you get to help solve and gain experience that you likely wouldn't elsewhere. We are committed to growing our team internally. Also, we had near 0% turnover in Q4 of last year, which is far below market average. We also do markert comp research throughout the year to ensure we are paying at or above market for all roles in the company. You are not a cog in the wheel. We care about all of our employees and offer flexibility. We do believe that being in office a few days a week make us better togther. Please reach out to me directly if you are comfortable - I'd love to talk through your feedback together. Best, Melissa
