      Lofty goals with little technical insight to make them work

      Pros

      Glorified office made from a closet. 6am calls from pissed off sales personnel. 15hr days and high exposure to chemical levels known to be excessive. Health benefit packages that change just before you qualify for them. Changing policies after negotiating job position.

      Cons

      Sales force and HR unable to face reality. Failure is not an option doesn't work when failure is built into the design. When engineering is telling you that it won't work, stop taking orders on the equipement.

      Pros

      Come and go as you please, minimal discipline, take on projects you want but don't have to, laid back family like, steer your career where ever you want it to go

      Cons

      No raises as part of reviews or ever, you have to come up with a new job title and role with more responsibility and sell it yourself to upper-management to get a raise, it's much easier just to find a different job. No accountability or discipline which harbors lazy employees, therefore others have to pick up the slack and if they don't they are seen as not being team players. No resources, you are expected to do everything even clean your work space and locker room.
