Pros

-Company culture, company is not a breathing-down-your-neck recruitment firm, deals fairly with employees, and overall a great place to work IF you already have a book of business -Leadership is happy to help new employees and provides adequate training -Company has high quality HR, legal, accounting, & marketing teams -The recruiter tools given to you are exceptional and first class -Nice office and work environment

Cons

-On hiring, was told OTE of $90k in year one. This is an inaccurate figure -Turnover is high among seasoned recruiters -the CEO was out of touch addressing the mass lay-off, mass exodus occurring, or the low billings of previous top-billers -Client quality is very poor. Little to no quality control measures were in place to protect recruiters, on one occasion ended up working a role that didn't even exist, and on another occasion was sent the wrong role a client didn't need. -Don't come in just to recruit. This has a low chance of success, despite what we we're told. Only way to succeed here is to manage accounts -Working in the Phoenix office gives you a leg up to joining the inner circle, but working remote has a much lower chance of success unless you're bringing in large existing accounts to manage

Thank you for taking the time to provide your insights into your experience with Blue Signal. We truly find all employee feedback to be valuable. We agree that agency recruiting can be one of the most cut-throat and grueling industries. Thank you for acknowledging Blue Signal is not a breathing-down-your-neck recruitment firm and deals fairly with employees. Thank you for also pointing out that Blue Signal is well staffed to include high quality HR, legal, accounting, & marketing teams as most recruiting firms do not offer these types of resources on a 1 to 2 ratio. (1 Back-office support person for every 2 recruiters). Lastly, thank you for acknowledging our tools, software, and resources are exceptional and first class. Blue Signal spares no expense when it comes to providing all recruiters the best tools possible, back office team to support, nice office, and good work environment. We are, however, deeply concerned about some of the issues you’ve raised and sincerely apologize if there were any misunderstandings regarding the OTE expectations during the hiring process. Transparency is important to us, and we will ensure clearer communication moving forward. We want you to know that your feedback on turnover, client quality, and the challenges faced by remote workers is taken very seriously. We understand that maintaining high standards for client roles and ensuring success for all our recruiters, regardless of their location, is crucial. We are always working on setting up more robust quality control measures and better support systems for remote employees. As in any recruiting job, overall earnings, compensation will vary based on candidate placements made and we know it takes time. Because of this, we strive to be upfront with all new hires that it’s not going to be easy, recruiting is a time consuming job that is not for everyone. While coming into the role with a book of business can be beneficial to a new hire, this is not necessary. We also want to note there are no parameters to success in recruiting at Blue Signal – all recruiters are encouraged to expand their desk by working with anyone across the company. We are proud to maintain a strong culture of openness and collaboration. We are aligned that time spent in the office is beneficial for all recruiters, regardless of tenure in the industry. Being surrounded by other team members is not only encouraging and energizing, but a great way to overhear a conversation and pick up something new to try on a next call. Regarding layoffs and company change communication, Blue Signal is proud to share that the company has never faced a layoff situation, even during the height of COVID. Recruiter turnover is common in a this industry where factors for success are sometimes out of our hands, and we realize the time commitment to building a successful career in recruiting is not for everyone. We are proud to boast that our turnover ratios are less than half the industry average. We can accredit this to all our tools, training, and resources provided. We are grateful for your feedback, and we wish you the absolute best in your next role!

Pros

they cater in lunch sometimes.

Cons

Have been a recruiter before. I am very familiar with the various commission splits, tools, expectations, etc. What was described to me was MUCH different than what I had been told to expect, or that I have received at other companies. Basically, it's churn and burn, here's the phone book, good luck. Of the job orders they said they had too many to even fill that I would get when I started while I built my own accounts, none materialized. If you were part of the clique, that was different. I also felt uncomfortable with some of the things I was asked to do that I did not consider to be ethical, and to tell things to people that were not the truth.

Thank you for your review. While I feel this may be for a different company, it made its way onto our page, so I will address some inaccuracies. We aren’t just another recruiting firm, so your experience here very well may have been different. Not only do we give our recruiters draws so they don’t have to go without a paycheck during their ramp-up time, we also provide them with all the training and tools they could possibly need to be successful. I doubt in 2020 we could get our hands on a phone book, so instead, we provide our team with LinkedIn Recruiter, PCRecruiter, job boards, Zoom Info access, analytics software, and full marketing and project support. In addition to that, we have an “open-door policy” across the agency that encourages new recruiters to reach out to any recruiting manager, including me, for help and guidance. In addition to the support we provide, you may remember that we send out anonymous monthly surveys for employee satisfaction. In the past year, when asked about manager feedback the response has been 100% positive, when asked about tools to perform the work the average response was 96% positive. While we aren’t perfect, we do strive to live up to our core value of excellence and know that by accepting feedback we are always given another chance to get closer to that marker. Another core value we have is integrity; unethical behavior is not condoned at Blue Signal. I take the claim of unethical behavior very seriously and I would encourage you to reach out to me (CEO) or the HR team (hr@bluesignal.com), to further share your experience so we can ensure it doesn’t happen in the future. While Blue Signal wasn’t a good fit for you, we wish you all the best in your career

Pros

Free coffee machine in common area

Cons

This company has no soul. Let me paint a picture for you: Earlier this week, Hurricane Helene tore through a region where many of our employees live. Homes were destroyed, streets were underwater, and families were left stranded. Some employees lost everything, and others were desperately trying to contact loved ones, not knowing if they were safe or even alive. While the storm was still raging on Monday morning, some of us struggled just to stay safe, let alone work as usual. But then, in an all-employee meeting, a member of the leadership team showed up fuming. He berated us, yelling about our low KPIs from the previous day. His rage was palpable, completely disconnected from the reality of what people were going through. The only time he expressed concern for anyone’s safety was to call out our top biller, completely ignoring the rest of us who were facing the same dangerous conditions. The most tragic part? Another member of the team stood by, enabling this behavior without a word of support or empathy. So if you’re looking for a place that values you this much, I highly recommend it. Just make sure you’ve got a kayak, a portable battery, and a Starlink connection—because here, business comes first, no matter what.

Blue Signal greatly appreciates the care and concern you have for your fellow teammates who have been affected during this distressing and devastating time for the southeast United States. Your genuine empathy for those affected directly correlates with our company’s core values: Be Excellent, Do the Right Thing, and most importantly Help Others. Our leadership team began reaching out to potential effected employees several days prior to Hurricane Helene offering transportation, flights, and lodging to evacuate the area. They have stayed close to all employees in devastated regions continuing through Hurricane Milton. This support has been extended to all who reside in the southeast U.S. and to those whose loved ones have been touched by these storms. We have gone to the extent of offering lodging and means of transportation to those who have evacuated prior to or after the storms hit. We are continuing to monitor our affected employees’ situations closely and are working with individual team members who have experienced hardship to ensure they are safe and taken care of. We have several support staff putting in overtime to help business continuity for affected personal to ensure no disruptions for them while traveling, powerless, or unavailable. Additionally, our marketing team has created and circulated a blog with resources and ways to help those affected by the hurricanes, including national and local organizations to donate toward relief. We are sad to see the response you have posted regarding the company’s efforts to support those affected. We encourage you to speak directly with your management and/or HR teams if you have further details of how the company has not met your expectations in our response to this national disaster. Please be reassured although Blue Signal must continue our business efforts in the midst of crisis, we value each and every member of this organization truly and completely, and this business would not exist without our amazing team.
