Staff are not protected from discrimination, feedback is not given by management before harsh punishments are dealt out, the programming department could be the cast of Mean Girls, and staff safety is not prioritized when unstable patron behavior becomes scary and troubling. Current Director sided with the police when one staff member was falsely suspected of a crime, allowing that staff member to be ambushed by the police at work when the whole situation was a misunderstanding and could have been avoided if the Director had stood up for the rights of his staff. I could go on. I worked there for over five years. Things changed drastically. for good and sadly mostly for bad, when the system became a library district.
