Pros

Burrellesluce is a reputable monitoring company who has been in the game for many many years. If employed here, you will learn a ton of soft skills as well as tech skills working within a software platform. A nice plus is independence, not a lot of boss shadowing, good clients and opportunities to build business relationships within the client portfolio. Good PTO time, caring bosses, east coast and west coast offices, lots of support. Competitive industry keeps everyone on their toes so one has to be on A game at all times to Wow clients and ensure renewals. I gained a great deal of experience in my 5 years at Burrellesluce.

Cons

The job is a bit methodical for documenting work into a CRM system, but this is a necessary protocol for company-wide internal communication. Not a high ceiling for growth.

None that come to mind....

Cons

Horrible working conditions. Windowless stuffy room. No possibility of advancement. Lack of direction, due to unstructured management.

Pros

Casual work environment, paid time off, friendly co-workers. Not much else.

Cons

I've worked here for over a decade and have seen this company going downhill slowly due to poor decisions by upper management. They've failed to stay competitive in the field and have completely been outdone in so many ways by their competitors. For one, they refuse to update their hardware and software. We're working on old equipment that's constantly breaking down and the software is out of date, to say the least. It's shameful and embarrassing really. This company does everything on the cheap and instead of investing in new equipment they cobble together old junk until that doesn't work anymore... then cobble again. The way they treat their employees is disgraceful. After hitting the skids financially (due to poor decisions by upper management... can't say that enough here), they decided it would be best to start laying people off and closing several offices. So the remaining employees are now overworked, and seriously underpaid. We haven't had a raise in 5 years. We at least used to get an email from the CEO every year saying, "Not this year folks, maybe next". But we don't even get that anymore. So to say morale is low, is a real understatement. People are burnt out and are starting to give up, but the execs couldn't care less. It's truly sad to see loyal, hard-working employees treated this way. Some have been here for decades, and many of them were let go for being "past their prime" and were "encouraged" to retire (though at least they were offered severance packages). If there were better opportunities in this area, I'd leave in a heartbeat. Sadly, the job market is pretty depressing around here. Low wages everywhere.
