Pros

It is fulfilling to work with children to enrich their lives, guide them as they develop to responsible citizens of the world. Workload is reduced by a certain extent due to the providence of lesson plans from the headquarters.

Cons

There is way too much paperwork to be done and they must now be done while you are tending to the children (read: unpaid overtime hours). The CEO only seem to care about acquisitions of more childcare centres (honestly, why would your overworked and underpaid teachers care about the company growing into a monopoly?). New teachers are tricked into an apprenticeship programme to be bonded for 18 months after the sponsored diploma course, but in effect the bond period is 2 years and the remuneration is below market rate during the bond (and after).

Horrible Increment and Bonus

Pros

- Workload still manageable - Receive gifts every now and then from management - Parents are expats, some are nice while some can be challenging - Health benefits

Cons

Really, really, really terrible increment. For a teacher who has been in the industry for two years, i only received an increment of less than $90 which is not able to even suffice against the rise of inflation in Singapore. Management does not do anything to allay the teacher's needs but would happily expand their centres overseas, Very stingy monetary wise. Earning lesser than a fresh graduate entering the industry this year... Bonus is also given once a year but you wont get the full amount.
