Pros

Full Benefits. Medical, Vision, Dental, all have low employee contributions. Overworked, little support. Lots of do nothing state employees at every level.

Cons

Human Resources is the worst. Antiquated policies. No Transparency. Lowball salary offers. No mechanism for advancement in salary, or in career. Most get hired at one job and stay there for 20 years. Implementation of Salary steps may alleviate, but expect HR and CA State to screw this up.

Scheduling follows a system where tenured faculty receive priority, and any unassigned courses are subsequently offered to adjunct faculty.

The faculty, staff and students are great people. A real joy to be around. There's ample reasonable parking. Benefits are great if you can get them. There's a 4-year temp. employee status placed on most new employees.

Cons

The salary is lower than other CSU campuses. Perhaps because it also has a lower number of students?
