Pros

•It's the easiest job you'll ever work. Most of the sites only require you to keep an eye on the property and make sure nothing catches on fire or is stolen. And even if something was to go wrong, you cannot do anything besides call the police. •If you patrol, it may help you lose weight. •Working for them allows you to get your foot in the door with their client companies (who will pay you more).

Cons

•The job may be easy, but it is so very unfulfilling. Your mind is a tool, use it or lose it. •If your post doesn't not have patrols, you may gain weight. •You will be underpaid. No matter what duties your site may require, you will recieve the same pay rate as a patrol officer. •No chance for advancement. •Petty coworkers and managers. •Management consist of a desk jockey who knew the procedures of a pharmacy, but not a security office. As well as "captains", who are basically warm bodies meant only to fill positions when someone calls off at any site under their supervision. •If the client company complains about you, even if the complaint is unfounded, your managers will worry more about pleasing the client than defending you. •You will constantly be called in for overtime.

Pros

Some colleagues were supportive and professional.

Cons

My experience with this company has been extremely frustrating. When the site I was originally working on lost its contract, I chose to remain with the company rather than transfer under TUPE — a decision I now regret. I was later offered another site; however, due to workplace politics and behaviour that I experienced as racism on that site, I did not feel comfortable accepting the position. Even basic things such as booking annual leave became unnecessarily difficult and required multiple conversations with management before it was finally approved. After returning from my holiday, all of my scheduled shifts had disappeared from the portal and I had been moved onto the response team without any clear explanation. Since then, each time I contact control asking for shifts, I am told there are none available, despite being on a 36-hour contract which the company appears unable to provide. Additionally, when applying for internal roles, I have repeatedly received no response or feedback.
