I worked at CNA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The internship was for the summer 3 months and the management had a plan for the whole thing with each day pretty well structured to expose us to the whole operations side of the business. But the project we were working on was just listening to calls into the call center and recording what they were about in excel which was very boring to do all day sometimes. Also we went to Chicago to the home office and made a presentation which was fun and interesting.

    Cons

The girl I worked with was totally selfish and inconsiderate which was just bad luck I guess.

    Advice to Management

Be more proactive in disciplining bad employees like the girl I had to work with, she was reprimanded at her employee review but that was too late should have done it sooner.

I worked at CNA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You will work a 45 hour week in most groups

    Cons

This is NOT a place to grow your career, there is a definite cost cutting culture. With the implementation of technologies most groups they are not looking to grow. There is definite pressure from the top down to cut heads/expenses. If you are looking for a 45 hour workweek with below market pay then this is your job. However if you are looking for opportunities to grow your career this company is a pass

    Advice to Management

Keep the secret of cutting the headcount a secret as long as you can
